- 1). Set the two wheel chocks against the 3000GT's left-rear wheel to block it from rolling. Loosen the 3000GT's front lug nuts with your lug wrench.
- 2). Lift the front end of the Mitsubishi with the floor jack and support it on two jack stands, placed under the body rail jack points. Pull the front lug nuts and wheels off the 3000GT by hand to expose the front brakes.
- 3). Place the drip pan below the 3000GT's right-front brake assembly. Wash away the brake dust from the brake surfaces with brake cleaner.
- 4). Take the caliper mounting bolts out of the caliper with your socket set. Lift the 3000GT's right-front caliper out of the caliper bracket by hand.
- 5). Remove and discard the 3000GT's old brake pads by hand. Clean the inside of the right-front caliper with your brake cleaner to remove brake dust, road dirt and the old grease. Lubricate the 3000GT's caliper slide pins with white lithium grease.
- 6). Set the 3000GT's new brake pads into the caliper by hand. Lower the caliper into the caliper bracket by hand. Reinstall the caliper bolts with your socket set.
- 7). Move to the 3000GT's left-front and repeat steps 3 through 6 on that side. Put the 3000GT's front wheels and lug nuts back on by hand.
- 8). Lower the 3000GT off the jack stands using the floor jack. Tighten the Mitsubishi's front lug nuts to 100 foot-pounds with your torque wrench. Pull the wheel chocks away from the back tires before driving.
