- 1). Insert floral foam into the flower pot until the entire diameter is filled. Leave about one inch at the top of the pot to allow for the skewers.
- 2). Cut a 12-inch square piece of cellophane. Place cellophane on top of the pot and secure with one or two rubber bands. Measure and cut 1 1/2 feet of ribbon and tie around the pot to cover the rubber bands. Tie a bow with the excess ribbon. Use hot glue to secure ribbon in place.
- 3). Prepare pineapple by laying the core on its side and cutting one-inch widths. Take each ring and cut flowers out of rings with a cookie cutter. Once all pineapple is used, place pineapple flowers in a bowl and cover with orange juice.
Prepare strawberries and grapes by washing thoroughly. Place in a separate bowl and cover with orange juice. Prepare honeydew by cutting halves into wedges approximately two inches in width. Cut wedges in half vertically and place in a bowl with orange juice.
Prepare cantaloupe by using melon baller. Make melon balls from the two halves and place in juice. - 4). Once all fruit is prepared, take skewers and insert pointed end into bottoms of strawberries and chocolate-covered strawberries, pushing in half way. Also, insert skewers into grapes, pushing half way through grape. Insert skewers into honeydew leaf "bottoms".
- 5). Place a melon ball into the center of each pineapple flower. Insert a skewer through the bottom of the flower, pushing into the bottom of the flower, through the melon, and up to the middle of the top of the flower.
- 6). Once all fruit has been prepared, arrange skewers in flower pot by sticking pointed end into floral foam. Stagger the arrangement to add variety.
