- Campers in RVs need gifts that fit into a limited amount of space.rv, image by Greg Pickens from Fotolia.com
Camping in an RV is completely different from tent camping because everything you need is right at your fingertips. The campers come with sleeping areas, cooking areas and even space for eating, playing games or watching television. Shopping for RV campers involves a little more thought because items meant for outdoor campers aren't as useful for those camping in an RV. Visiting a camping or outdoor store opens up a world of gift ideas for RV campers. - Look for small gifts that can easily be used inside the limited space of an RV. Items specifically designed for the camper, such as seasoning kits that include several spices in the same container with separate lids for each one, make useful gifts. Camper toilet paper is another idea, as campers can't use regular toilet paper. This toilet paper breaks down quickly in the camper's septic tank. A set of towels or sheets for use in the camper allows RV campers to leave their other sets at home.
- Though they travel by RV, these campers still spend time outside around the campfire. Get the RV camper a few specialty folding chairs, such as those with a canopy or an attached footstool. A folding basin is another idea. It lays flat for easy storing in the camper but makes a quick basin for cooking outside or cleaning up. A rack for cooking on a campfire ring or even a tripod for cooking over the campfire is a popular option. Depending on your budget, another idea is a screen tent or canopy, which provides coverage for campers.
- Long hours of driving on the road can be boring, as are the hours spent stuck inside the motor home during a rainstorm. Travel-size board games break up the monotony. The small games don't take up much space and the specially made slots keep the pieces from rolling around while the camper is moving. If your budget allows, purchase the camper a GPS system to keep them from getting lost on the road. You can even treat RV campers to a satellite radio with a six- or 12-month subscription.
