- The Cardinal flower also known as bellflowers have red flower tube clusters atop the leafy stems. The flowers are found in damp areas such as stream banks, shady areas, and other moist areas of ground. Hummingbirds feed from the Cardinal flower and pollinate it.
- The rough-stemmed goldenrod flower blooms between July to October reaching heights of 1 to 7 feet tall. The flowers are tooth-shaped with wrinkled leaves and are hairy. It can be found in thickets, open areas, and by roadsides.
- The red chokeberry is a shrub flower. In the spring, it produces clusters of white flowers that turn to red berries in the fall and throughout the winter providing food for birds. It can reach heights of 6 to 8 feet tall and thrives in sun and partial shade with soil types of dry to wet.
