- 1). Remove the triangular cover from the inside door panel. Again, the cover is located inside the door, directly opposite the mirror housing on the outside of the door. To remove the cover, pull on it with your fingers. This releases the small tabs that hold the plastic cover onto the door panel.
- 2). Press down on the center of the wiring harness connector and pull the ends of the connector apart.
- 3). Remove the three nuts that secure the mirror to the door with a 12 mm deep well socket and ratchet. Hold the mirror with one hand while you remove the final 12 mm nut. This keeps the mirror from falling out of the door and scratching the paint on your Camry. If you do not have a second person to hold the mirror while you remove the nuts, roll the window down so you can easily reach both.
- 4). Pull the mirror out of the door and then slide the studs of the new mirror into the door. Be careful not to scratch the paint on your Camry with the threaded studs.
- 5). Hold the mirror in place while you tighten the nuts onto the studs to the inside door panel.
- 6). Push the two ends of the wiring harness together until you hear them snap into place.
- 7). Place the cover back onto the door panel and push on it to force the plastic tabs into the door panel.
