- 1). Download and install the latest version of iTunes on both the PC and the Mac.
- 2). Open the Settings application on the iPhone by tapping its icon on the home screen. Tap the "Store" option, and note the details of the iTunes account the iPhone is currently using.
- 3). Launch iTunes on the PC and click "Store" in the main menu across the top of the iTunes window. Select "Authorize this computer" from the "Store" drop-down menu. Enter the username and password of the iPhone's iTunes account in the popup box. Click the "Authorize" button in the lower-right corner of the popup box to finish.
- 4). Click the "Store" menu on the iTunes main menu once again, and select "Sign In." Enter the same iTunes account details in the popup box and click the "Sign In" button in the lower-right corner.
- 5). Connect the iPhone to the PC using its USB cable. ITunes will automatically detect the iPhone and insert an entry for it in the "Devices" section of the left-hand column.
- 6). Select the entry for the iPhone in the "Devices" section and click the "Summary" tab in the right-hand iTunes window. Click the "Sync" button in the lower-right corner to synchronize all the iPhone's content with the PC.
- 7). Repeat this procedure on the Mac, beginning at Step 3. Authorize the Mac and log it into the iTunes account from the "Store" menu in iTunes. Connect the iPhone via its USB cable and click the "Sync" button in the lower-right corner of iTunes. As long as both computers remain authorized and logged into the same account as the iPhone, they will remain synchronized.
