How to Make a Zombie Halloween Costume

    • 1). Cut holes and tears into your clothing with scissors to give it worn-in zombie style. Rip the edges of shirt sleeves and pants into tatters and run a razor along the edges to create a frayed look.

    • 2). Rub your clothes on the ground outside to add grass, dirt and mud stains for a realistic just-from-the-grave zombie appearance. Splatter fake blood generously over the front and back of clothing while it is still on the ground and let dry.

    • 3). Put on your "new" clothing. Add fake blood to exposed areas such as your arms and neck.

    • 4). Apply white and gray makeup all over your face and blend together to create a zombie pallor. Add extra gray paint beneath your eyes for a hollow-eyed look.

    • 5). Run your fingers through your hair to make it messy; spray your rumpled hair generously to hold in place. Sprinkle flour through your hair and on your clothing to create a dusty graveside look. Apply gray face paint to your hands and rub dirt around your fingernails.

    • 6). Practice a zombie walk by dragging one foot against the ground with every step. Keep your mouth hanging open. Moan as you go.
