It's easy to 'pig out' during the holidays; we've all done it at one time or another.
When it happens to you, don't be too hard on yourself.
Concentrate on the future and follow these tips.
They will help to ensure that you maintain your weight, during this time.
Chances are you might even lose additional pounds.
Tip number one.
Drink a large glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the main meal.
This will help to satisfy your hunger, prior to actual eating.
You can always 'jazz it up' with a slice of lemon, if you prefer.
Tip number two.
Don't wear loose fitting clothes.
Think about it; loose fitting clothes give you the opportunity to eat...
eat...
and eat some more, because of the room for expansion.
However, choosing an outfit that fits a bit snugly won't provide the opportunity.
Tip number three.
Be picky about what you eat.
Most holiday meals are quite festive, featuring many foods that are reserved for the specific occasion.
Choose small portions of these foods and save the 'everyday dishes' for everyday.
Tip number four.
If alcoholic beverages will be part of your meal, alternate them with something non-alcoholic.
Not only will this cut down on calories it will prevent the possibility of the next morning's headache.
Tip number five.
Resist the temptation to go back for a second helping.
If you lose the battle, take no more than two spoonfuls of two different foods.
Fresh fruit or raw veggies are a good alternate choice.
