How do I Download Clips, Movies, & Video to an iPod Mac?

    • 1). Create an iTunes account. Log on to Apple.com and click on the "iTunes" tab. Download iTunes to your computer and open it. Click on the "Store" tab and then on the "Create Account" icon. Follow the instructions for creating an account.

    • 2). Choose a music video or movie to download. On the top of the iTunes Store, click on either the "Music" tab and select the "Music Videos" icon, or click on the "Movies" tab and select your desired genre of movie. Clicking on one that you would like to purchase pulls up the individual screen for that movie or music video. In the top left corner of this screen, there will be a tab labeled "Buy", and selecting this will begin the download process.

    • 3). Connect your iPod to your computer. Included with the purchase of your iPod is a USB connecting wire which attaches the iPod to your computer. Connect the wire to your iPod through the connection on its bottom and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.

    • 4). Transfer the movies or videos to your iPod automatically. The iPod will come up as an icon in the iTunes window. An automatic prompt will ask if you wish to have the iPod sync with the contents of your computer's iTunes. Select "Yes", if you would like it done automatically. This will shift all music, music videos and movies to your iPod, as long as enough space is available.

    • 5). Transfer the movies or videos to your iPod manually. When the prompt comes up asking if you wish to sync your iPod, select "No." On the left bar of iTunes, you will see icons for your Music, Movies, TV shows, Games, etc. Any music videos will be listed under the "Music" icon. Click on the appropriate icon to find the items that you purchased. When you find the movie or video, click and hold the selection, and drag it over to the left bar where your iPod icon is. Drop it directly on the iPod icon to transfer it. Repeat the process as necessary. This process can also be used to transfer clips, movies, and video not purchased on iTunes (such as home-made movies) onto your iPod.
