How to Remove a Dodge Caravan Dashboard

    • 1). Disconnect the van's negative battery cable.

    • 2). Unscrew the three screws for the dashboard's left-side end cap and remove it. Grasp the right-side end cap and sharply pull it off to remove it.

    • 3). Pull off the end caps on the pull handle connected to the A-pillar's trim panel, remove the handle's fasteners with a wrench and remove the handle. Press and release the pillar trim from its clips and remove the trim.

    • 4). Pry the dashboard top cover off with a trim stick, working the stick around the perimeter starting from the bottom.

    • 5). Open up the cupholder and remove its access cover with the trim stick. Remove the mounting screws for the radio/heater trim bezel that were behind the cover and pry off the bezel.

    • 6). Unscrew the two mounting screws for the knee bolster--the trim panel directly below the steering column that guards your knees from the internal wiring and vice-versa--and pull the bolster straight out.

    • 7). Pull and lift the steering column off of the column, then tilt the column down. Remove the mounting screws for the instrument cluster bezel, then pull the bezel straight out to detach the clips and remove it.

    • 8). Open the glove box, push on both sides of the box together and lower the door. Pivot the box downward and detach its hooks from the dash.
