- 1). Clear a flower bed for the daisies in a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Dig the soil to a depth of 12 inches and remove any rocks, sticks, rubbish or large clumps.
- 2). Mix in a 3-inch layer of compost or other organic matter to enrich the soil. Rake the planting bed level and moisten the soil.
- 3). Sow the daisy seeds at the depth and spacing recommended on the packets, which may vary depending on the specific cultivar. Plant the seeds 1/8 inch deep every 1 to 2 feet. This spacing and depth will work for the majority of daisy plants.
- 4). Check the planting area daily and water as needed to keep the soil moist until the daisy seeds germinate. Water the flower bed slowly to prevent disturbing the newly planted seeds.
- 5). Watch for seedlings to emerge in approximately 14 days.
