- 1). Wind the mesh ribbon around a Christmas tree the way you would a string of lights. Weave the ribbon in and out and twist it in places to give it shape. Mesh ribbon holds its shape, allowing you to create waves of ribbon or twist two different colors together so that both colors show. Tie shorter pieces of mesh ribbon into bows on the ends of branches.
- 2). Wrap the mesh ribbon around the corners of a large picture frame or mirror to hang on the wall, tying the ribbon in a bow. For example, the top left and bottom right corners could have ribbon going across like gift wrapping.
- 3). Twist the mesh ribbon around your staircase banister, and tie bows around the posts. Use two different colors for interest. Use the same method to decorate bed posts or a headboard with decorative slats.
- 4). Make large bows out of mesh ribbon to decorate pews, chairs, pillars or trees for a wedding. Fold the mesh ribbon like an accordion or make multiple loops with long tails hanging down.
- 5). Tie small bows around decorative items in your home, such as pillar candles you don't burn, vases or large bowls. Hanging towels, folded linen napkins, decorative stacks of books or a stack of decorative containers or boxes can also be held together with small mesh ribbon bows.
