- 1). Place the wheel chocks against the front and back of the 500's left rear tire. Loosen the front lug nuts with the lug wrench. Elevate the front end with the floor jack and support it on jack stands.
- 2). Remove the front lug nuts and wheels by hand to expose the front brakes.
- 3). Slide the drop pan underneath the right front brake rotor. Wash away the brake dust from the rotor and caliper with brake cleaner.
- 4). Remove the right front caliper bolts with the socket set. Lift the caliper out of the bracket by hand. Remove the old brake pads from the caliper manually and discard them.
- 5). Wash the inside of the right front caliper with brake cleaner. Apply a generous layer of white lithium grease to the right front caliper slide pins by hand.
- 6). Insert the new brake pads into the right front caliper by hand. Set the caliper back into the caliper bracket by hand. Bolt the caliper in place with the socket set.
- 7). Move to the left front side and repeat Steps 3 through 6. Reinstall the 500's front wheels and lug nuts by hand. Lower the car off the jack stands with the floor jack.
- 8). Tighten the front lug nuts to 85 foot-pounds by using the torque wrench. Move the wheel chocks away from the rear wheel.
