How to Adjust the Seats on a Honda CR-V for a Handicapped Person

    • 1). Remove the headrests from the back from the back seat. After they have been removed, fold the top of the back seat forward. Then move the seat all the way back.

    • 2). Using a flat head screwdriver, locate and remove the plastic seat track end covers from the front end of both seat tracks. Unlock the rear seat from the seat track and tip it forward, then remove the rear seat track end covers from the back of both seat tracks. The bolts that attach the seat to the seat track should now be exposed.

    • 3). Unbolt the seat from the seat track using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket. Put these in a safe place as you'll need them to reinstall the back seat. Fold the seats up tightly and store them in a safe place along with the headrests.

    • 4). Attach wheelchair restraints to the seat track. Installation will vary depending on what type of restraint you purchase. Metal hook restraints should hook right into the seat track. Make sure the wheelchair is secured before driving to avoid injury.
