How to Make an Infant Princess Throne

    • 1). Drape the fabric over the high chair. You can leave the high chair cushion on if you like for extra padding.

    • 2). Fit the fabric around the arms of the high chair and cut a slit the length of the arms. Pull the fabric on either side of the slit underneath the arms and pin the cut edges together. The fabric must be slit open and kept under the arms because the high chair tray cannot slide into place with the fabric covering.

    • 3). Sew the edges together beneath the arms. Sew loose stitches if you would like to remove the fabric throne later.

    • 4). Pull the fabric through the leg openings and to the ground. Arrange the fabric down the sides and the back of the chair so that it flows gracefully to the ground.

    • 5). Cut one piece of ribbon to about 48 inches in length. Fold the ribbon to locate the middle and tie it in a bow with long tails. Pin the bow to the top, back of the fabric-covered high chair and sew a few stitches to keep it in place. Remove the pins.

    • 6). Cut four more pieces of ribbon, each about 24 inches long. Tie each of the ribbons in bows and pin them at the four corners of the high chair around the height of the leg openings. Sew a few stitches to keep them in place.

    • 7). Use a stencil to draw a tiara shape on the middle of the high chair's back. Glue on imitation gemstones over the tracing to make a gemstone tiara. Make sure the gemstones are only glued to the back of the high chair, out of the reach of the infant.
