• 1). Open your Internet Explorer browser. Click the "Tools" icon on the upper-right corner of the window, then click the "Internet Options" preference from the drop-down menu.

• 1). Open your Firefox Web browser and visit the download page for Firefox's Adblock Plus add-on. Firefox doesn't have a native setting that enables you to block ads; therefore, it offers this free add-on to accomplish this task. Adblock Plus enables you to block ad banners on MySpace, plus it blocks other advertisements and protects you from being tracked by websites that you visit.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Add to Firefox" button displayed on the Adblock Plus page. Click the "Install Now" button on the installation window that pops up thereafter.
  
  
• 3). Close your Firefox browser and then open it again for the Adblock Plus installation process to complete. When you relaunch Firefox an "Add Adblock Plus filter subscription" dialog box will show up on your screen, prompting you to to subscribe to your preferred Ad list.
