September is here, and the holidays have tailed off greatly. With children back in school, many families had their holiday travels out of their systems by now, and are back into the swing of things. For others, however, September is a great time to go out on a cheap holiday. Not only are there less people at fun resorts, but there are also cheaper rates since September holidays are considered as being in an off peak time.

September is a wonderful time of year for couples to go out and have a great holiday together. Many couples still want to cherish the last of the year's warmth before the weather changes for the fall and winter months, so they will often travel to locations such as the Greek Islands, Spain, Tenerife, Turkey, as well as Egypt.

September holidays to Egypt

Since Egypt is in the middle of a desert, the summer months can be brutal, which is why it is now prime time to go, as the temperature has cooled off moderately. It is now much easier to travel around Egypt without being baked in the sun. Those that travel to Egypt at this time will often wander around the pyramids, and can even climb up a few, although many of them are indeed restricted to pedestrians. The Sphinx, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is also in Egypt, and is a fun and memorable vacation spot.

The Greek Islands is a beautiful get away as well, and the romance is sure to flow when here. The Greeks are not at all shy about sharing and showing their affection for one another, so the Greek Islands are sure to be a great place for honeymooners.

Spain is a fun place for couples to get away in September, too. Spain, a country that is almost completely surrounded by water, has tons of beaches to offer to the happy couple. Since it is no longer as hot as it once was, the temperatures have decreased greatly, and is a fun time to sit on the beach at night or have a nice romantic dinner beach side. Spain has delicious foods to offer its patrons, and they are all sure to enjoy the foods that are available.

Enjoy a September holiday in the Canaries

Tenerife and Lanzarote are the two remaining locations to visit in September. These locations are not too far from one another. Since they are indeed so close, some people like to travel from one location to the other while on vacation. This makes for a great change of scenery, as well as having the adventure of being able to travel between the two locations.
