Documents Required for Indian Visa
As you have seen, there is a large list of different types of visa. With each type, there are different requirements for Indian Visa.
The primary Requirements for Indian Visa are as follows:
- Original passport valid for 6 months with at least 2 blank pages
- One signed India visa application form plus a copy of it
- 2 recent photographs of the applicant
- Proof of residential address
Here are some of the Secondary documents Visa Requirements for India are based on the type of visa
- Offer letter from the medical institute, company, workplace, college etc.
- Letter from the parent sponsoring organization on company's letter head indicating the nature of the applicant's business, reasons for Urgent Business Visa, probable duration of stay, validity of visa applied for, places and organization to be visited and a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses.
- Supporting letters with applicants details (Name and passport number) and addressed to High Commission of India and its respective Consulates.
- Self-employed Media Related professionals need to provide an Undertaking letter stating no Professional related activities would be undertaken during the stay in India.
- Two years residence proof (i.e. utility bill-water, gas, electricity, council tax or Indefinite stay stamp or Agreement papers if staying as tenant] in the case of applicants applying on their country of Origin Passport
- Copy of an employment contract signed by both parties. The contract should have a specific clause for payment of income tax in India.
- Copy of the Registration papers of Company/Companies in India offering the Employment.
- Copy of educational qualification documents attested by the institute.
- Relevant letters signed and stamped from the hospital concerned in India should be provided on the letter head of the hospital/organization with applicant's details.
- Evidence of onward and return flight travel to India.
- For journalistic purpose:
- Undertaking in the prescribed form.
- Script / Synopsis
- Details of locations where documentary is proposed to be filmed.
- List of cinematic equipment to be temporarily imported into India.
