    • Hawthorn berry is used to protect against heart disease, improve heart function, protect blood vessels from forming plaque which leads to heart disease and high cholesterol. It helps to lower blood pressure. Hawthorn berry is also used to raise low blood pressure. Hawthorn berry strengthens the heart and vascular system, and acts as a anti-inflammatory by getting rid of inflammation. It is available in capsules, teas, tinctures and extracts.

    Mild Side Effects

    • Symptoms of mild side effects of hawthorn berry are nausea, an upset stomach, dizziness, mild rash, drowsiness, fatigue, sweating, difficulty sleeping, sleepiness or headache. These side effects from the hawthorn berry are rare and it has been given a Class 1 safety rating by the American Herbal Products Association which indicates hawthorn berry is a very safe herb to use.

    Severe Side Effects
