- 1). Lay the cardboard on the table. Place the iron-on interfacing face-up on the cardboard. Securing each with a straight pin at the top only, lay down the lengths of ribbon vertically on the interfacing to completely cover the square.
- 2). Use an under and over method to weave ribbon horizontally. Secure each end with a straight pin. Ensure your rows are straight and pulled tight. Do not remove your woven panel from the cardboard. Place your press cloth or towel on top of your panel to protect the ribbon from direct heat. Use your iron and follow the interfacing directions to fuse the woven ribbon together to make a solid piece. Remove the pins.
- 3). Use this solid piece of decorative fabric in a home decor project or add as an embellishment on clothing. Cut out a piece of fabric square in the same size as your woven panel to make a pillow. With right sides together, sew around three sides. Then turn, stuff with fiberfill and sew closed. You can also use your woven panel as a bib for an apron. Several panels sewn together make a unique wall hanging.
