- 1). Section off the person's hair into 1-inch squares.
- 2). Wrap a section against two of your fingers, then lay the subsequent loop against the person's scalp. Pin the loop down with two bobby pins crossed over each other in an X shape. This is called pin curling.
- 3). Continue pin curling each section until the entire head is done, pointing all bobby pins toward the crown of the head to prevent the wig from catching on them. This will compress the hair against the head. If the person's hair is too short for pin curling, skip directly to Step 4.
- 4). Have the person hold up both index fingers in front of her forehead.
- 5). Hook a wig cap over her fingers. Stretch it over her head while she positions the front on her forehead.
- 6). Pin the wig cap in place with bobby pins.
- 7). Put the wig on in the same way you did with the bald cap.
- 8). Adjust the position of the wig as needed so the wig's hairline looks natural on the person's forehead.
- 9). Pin the wig in place with at least four wig pins, positioned near the edge of the wig at the four corners. They will hook into the pin curls, holding the wig on securely.

Adjust the hair to hide the ends of the wig pins if needed. - 11
Lift up the lace on the person's forehead and paint a small amount of lace adhesive on the skin. Press the lace into the adhesive, then allow the adhesive to dry.
