Things to Know When Considering an All-Inclusive Bahamas Vacation

All-Inclusive Bahamas VacataionWith the U.S economy continuing to lag such that it is, all-inclusive Bahamas vacation packages are available from a variety of travel providers.  Since the Bahamas is so close to the coast of the U.S. and it's easy to get to it's a great destination for travelers looking for an all-inclusive Bahamas vacation.  The Bahamas really have it all, pristine beaches with crystal clear waters meant for SCUBA diving or snorkeling, a rich night life with filled with Vegas style shows and an active casino, championship golf courses and world class spas.

Benefits of the All-Inclusive Bahamas Vacation Packages

When choosing an all-inclusive Bahamas vacation, it's important to understand how this type of vacation differs from a traditional European style vacation; also known as a pay as you go vacation.  All-inclusive vacation packages do mean just that; all your basic travel needs are included in the cost of your vacation and that price is disclosed up front.  All-inclusive vacation generally includes roundtrip airfare, accommodations, meals, beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, tips, gratuities, taxes, the use of non-motorized water sports at the resort; on-site entertainment and transfers to and from the airport.

Initially an all-inclusive vacation package may seem expensive; however, when putting a package together yourself, you will generally find that a qualified travel consultant can find the best deals at the best prices that are generally not available to the public.  These personal travel consultants have been in business for a long time and send thousands of travelers each year to the destination, the resorts will often give them volume discount pricing that is unavailable to you as an individual shopper. This bargaining power can also translate to cost savings on airfare as well. This is how they put together such great deals on an all-inclusive vacation package.

The Bahamas is a great vacation destination for families, honeymooners, singles, couples and groups of all sizes.  When booking an all-inclusive vacation package with a qualified personal travel consultant be sure to let them know the size of your party, what you intend to do on your vacation, and how much you really have to spend.  A qualified consultant can tailor an all-inclusive vacation to suit your vacation style and budget. The Bahamas has a variety of resorts to fit every style and budget.

One key benefit to booking an all-inclusive vacation package is that with all your costs included in the trip ahead of time, you reduce the risk of breaking your budget.  You will find that everything you need for a fantastic vacation awaits you on site at the resort and are included in your all-inclusive vacation package.

For many travelers this sense of knowing before you go gives great comfort, leaving your wallet locked in the safe in your room, not worried about how much everything will cost and dreading the check out process.  It can be quite liberating and relaxing to know that when you book an all-inclusive vacation package that you bill will be zero upon checkout.

Disadvantages of the All-Inclusive Bahamas Vacation Packages

An all-inclusive Bahamas vacation package may not be all you expect it to be; there are a few things to consider before you book an all-inclusive vacation package to the Bahamas.

There's no doubt the Bahamas are beautiful, with stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, friendly people and old world charm that makes travelers come back again and again. But for adventuresome travelers an all-inclusive vacation package might feel a bit restrictive.  With so much to do on these fabulous islands, you might want to do more than what your all-inclusive vacation package allows.

All-inclusive vacation packages typically limit the outdoor activities you can participate in to non-motorized water sports. Some resorts such as the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach offer activities such as wind surfing, kayaking and tennis but if you're looking for SCUBA or deep sea fishing, these won't generally be included in your all-inclusive vacation package and they will cost extra to participate in these activities.

For adventuresome travelers who enjoy seeing the islands, and living the life of a "local" even for a week, you might consider renting a car; this of course won't be included in your all-inclusive vacation package.  There are several rental car agencies in the Bahamas, but remember British driving rules apply; so for Americans this can be a bit tricky.

Don't forget that when booking an all-inclusive vacation package, a qualified travel consultant can be a great ally; they are familiar with the islands and resorts.  They can tell you when to get the best pricing, the best weather and help you figure out which resort will best suit your needs and your budget.
