“How do I get my husband to love me again?” That’s a loaded question and unfortunately it’s one that many married women are asking themselves on a daily basis. Once the honeymoon phase is over and real life kicks into high gear, a couple can go through a transition. In the early days of your marriage you probably had no doubt about how deeply your husband adored you. If that’s changed now, don’t count yourself as another future divorce statistic just yet. There’s plenty you can do to recharge your relationship and make him fall deeper in love with you than he’s ever been before.
When you’re asking yourself the question of “how do I get my husband to love me again,” you need to consider the woman you are now versus the woman you were when you two first fell in love. It’s normal and expected that a woman will change once she’s married and settled into the roles of wife and mother, but you have to think about how that change has affected the dynamic between you and your spouse. Were there qualities about you that he found completely irresistible when you two first met? Are those qualities still shining through now? Although you’re not exactly the same person he first fell in love with since everyone matures and grows, you still need to work at showing him that the person he wanted to marry is still there. Focus on highlighting the parts of yourself that he used to adore. Show him that you really haven’t changed all that much.
You’ve also got to start putting him first if you want to rekindle his affection and adoration for you. This doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your children’s needs for your spouse’s, but you should work at making him feel special and desirable again. A couple’s intimate life will sometimes suffer if they don’t make it a priority. If a man doesn’t feel physically connected to his wife it can change how he views her. Make time for just the two of you as a couple again. Show him that you are excited and grateful to be his wife. If he knows that you still feel the same way about him as you did on the day you two married, he’ll feel closer to you all over again.
