Relationship Advice - 3 Ways to Show Love in Your Marriage

It can sometimes be difficult to show our spouse how much we love and appreciate them.
Children, work, and the day-to-day pressures involved with both; they often leave us tired and irritated.
Even though romance might seem impossible, showing your spouse your love can still be done in small ways that can have a big impact.
One of the easiest ways to show love in a marriage is to ask your spouse how their day went...
and to really mean it.
This means listening to their responses and asking questions about something they might have mentioned.
This shows your spouse you are interested, and that will help make them feel appreciated and loved.
Another way is to go back to dating.
Remember when the two of you first met? It was all about romance.
Get that spark back by going out on a date with your spouse.
It doesn't have to be fancy and you don't have to spend a lot of money, either.
This is one instance where "it's the thought that counts".
If it really isn't in your finances right now to go out for an evening on the town, then change things around.
You really don't have to leave your home to spend quality time together.
Send your children to their Grandparents, or a friend's house, and set a candlelight dinner.
Something as simple as this can have a profoundly positive effect on your relationship.
You can also surprise your spouse at work.
Bring some hand-picked flowers in a vase to your wife at her office.
Or bring coffee to your husband at his job site.
It isn't actually the coffee or the flowers, but the fact you made the effort.
These small gestures might seem unimportant, but it's actually the "little things" that add up and make a relationship strong.
Showing your spouse you think about them throughout your day and that you really appreciate them, pays dividends.
It also helps when you aren't afraid to let others know you love your spouse.
Think about it...
how many times do you see couples who have obviously been married for a long time, acting like their spouse is just a roommate? That's not a good feeling at home and it certainly isn't any better in public.
No spouse wants others to see their marriage as a convenient housing arrangement.
Put the effort into the relationship that it deserves.
Nothing continues to work on its own without routine maintenance.
