About Confirming
- When you create a Facebook account, Facebook asks that you confirm the account to verify account validity. This protects Facebook and its participants from spammers, bots and other abusive users. Confirming essentially lets Facebook know that a user is an actual human who intends to use Facebook to connect and communicate with friends. When you first create your account, Facebook will ask you to confirm the account. Although you can continue using the account for a few days, Facebook will ultimately lock the account if a user does not confirm it.
