Things are going along great in your relationship and then BAM! It happens.
Something goes wrong and the next thing you know the two of you are going your separate ways.
As some time goes by you decide that you want her back more than anything.
Here are some things you can doing the break up to increase the chances of getting back together later on.
Be respectful - Even if you are arguing about things, do not try to hurt the other person with personal attacks.
It is okay to be upset, but it is not okay to say something that you will regret later.
I would like to say don't argue, but that is not realistic, the key is to stay respectful.
Agree to be apart - For now, it is better to be apart if one of you doesn't want to be around the other.
Our first instinct is to beg, plead, and do whatever it takes to keep a relationship together that we still want to be a part of.
But if the other partner doesn't feel this way, then the best thing to do is give them some time and space - your ex will appreciate it.
Don't burn those bridges - In other words, be sure to plant the seed of the possibility of things working out at a later date.
You need to be subtle when you do this otherwise your soon-to-be ex will close that metaphoric door.
It may be the hardest thing you do, but focusing on the possible future instead of the current situation can make the break up nothing more than a stepping stone to eventually being together.
Break ups can be heart-wrenching, but if you keep your cool and break the right way, you will increase your chances of getting back together in the future.
Some of these tips may sound counter-intuitive, but the best time to start getting back together is during the break up.
