and to take a little bit of the edge off, you have a drink or two.
That doesn't work, so you have another...
then another, and another.
Before you know it, your mind is fuzzed up by alcohol and your heart feels about ready to crumble into black dust...
you may have tears streaming down your face, and you hardly know anything but the simple fact that you hate your life and the only thing that could fix it is to get the love of your life back beside you...
So what do you do?Late at night, mostly drunk, and feeling like a total train wreck...
you flip out your phone and call your ex.
I'm sure I don't have to go any further into this story, because with a clear and sober mind it's probably brutally obvious just HOW this can end up backfiring on you and making your situation worse...
but the truth is that when you're going through it, you either don't realize it or maybe in a part of you don't care.
The best way to avoid letting this happen to you is NOT to turn to alcohol as a cure for your depression...
or at least exercise some self-control if you DO drink, so as not to overdo it and get to this point.
