How to Network Netgear Wi-Fi to DirecTV

    • 1). Plug the power adapter for the connection kit into a nearby wall outlet and insert the other end of the cable into the jack on the rear of the connection kit.

    • 2). Insert one end of the included Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" port on the rear of the DirecTV receiver. Plug the other end of the cable into the "Ethernet" port on the side of the connection kit.

    • 3). Press "Enter" on the DirecTV's remote once the "Wireless Adapter" message appears on the screen. A list of wireless networks appears on the screen.

    • 4). Use the arrow keys on the remote to highlight the name of your Netgear's Wi-Fi network, then press "Enter." Type in the password for your wireless network in the prompt that appears.

    • 5). Use the arrow keys to go to the "Continue" option. Press "Enter" to verify the password and connect to the Netgear's Wi-Fi signal.
