With parades, light shows, theme parks, carriage rides and visits from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, kids of all ages will enjoy all of the special holiday activities and events that Atlantic County has to offer. - Storybook Land, a 10-acre theme park based on children's books and nursery rhymes, offers several Christmas programs for kids. Families can enjoy Super Santa discounts---up to 50 percent---on certain days in November and December. During Charity Toy Drop days, bring a high-quality, unwrapped toy and get a free admission ticket. Starting in mid-November, don't miss the Grand Arrival of Santa event; watch Santa pop out of his chimney and light the massive Christmas light display around Storybook Land. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be available for visits and pictures with your children through the rest of November and most of December.

Your kids will enjoy sipping on warm cider and eating freshly roasted chestnuts while listening to Christmas carols. Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, sample foods from the vendors, and watch the old-fashioned artists and craftspeople ply their trades with decoy carvers, quilt makers and more. Enter your family in the Gingerbread Decorating Contest, and take your kids for a spin on some of the children's rides.

The parade starts on New Hampshire Avenue at noon and winds through town to end at Baltic Avenue. Featuring live music, marching bands, Christmas floats, street vendors and, of course, appearances by every kid's favorite guy in a red suit, the Atlantic City Christmas Parade is fun for the whole family. After the parade ends, don't miss the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Michigan Avenue Plaza.

Every weekend in December, children can take a ride on the Christmas Train through a decorated Christmas village, followed by a conversation with the Magical Talking Christmas Tree. From 1:30 to 4:30 each Saturday and Sunday, visit Mrs. Claus in her Christmas cottage for special story times. Thursday through Sunday, from December 2 until January 2, the whole family will enjoy the Light Show on the Lake. Over 100 lighted Christmas trees appear to float on Lake Meone in time to Christmas music. Kids can even eat breakfast with Santa and get their picture taken with the North Pole's most famous resident.
