- Some of the most famous rock stars had thick dreads that many have tried to imitate. Purchased from your local accessories shop, you can find these braided extensions in a variety of colors, like pink, blue and purple, to suit your look. Add them behind your ears when your hair is stick-straight to add a little punk flavor to your otherwise conservative hairstyle. Unlike permanent extensions that are sewn in, these braided extensions can be put in for as long as you need them in and removed when you return back to your real, non-rock-star life.
