- 1). With the push pin, carefully start poking the top end of the egg. Poke around until the pin penetrates the shell. Make a tiny hole, no bigger than the size of a pinhead.
- 2). On the bottom end of the egg, use the push pin to poke another hole. Make this one just a little bigger than the one on the top of the egg.
- 3). Gently insert the toothpick deep into one of the holes to break the yolk and loosen the white.
- 4). Place the straw at the hole on top of the egg. Use your fingers to keep the straw in place and to prevent air from escaping. Place your mouth at the other end of the straw and start blowing. Yolk and white will emerge from the bottom of the egg. Do this over a bowl to catch the contents of the egg. Continue blowing until nothing more comes out of the egg.
- 5). Gently run some water through the egg to make sure all residue is out. Blow out any extra water using the same method. Let dry overnight before starting to decorate.
