- Common reactions to Repronex include pain and swelling at the injection site, skin rash, dizziness, abdominal cramping and enlargement, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and headache.
- Possible serious reactions are heart and lung complications, over-stimulation or enlargement of the ovaries, ovarian cysts, excessive vaginal bleeding, twisting of the fallopian tubes or ovaries and blood clots.
- In rare cases, Repronex may cause ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, miscarriage or birth defects. Repronex also increases the chance of becoming pregnant with multiple babies, especially when used with in-vitro fertilization.
- Repronex may cause a severe allergic reaction in some people. Signs include itchy patches of skin, swelling of the face and difficulty breathing. Seek emergency help if you suspect an allergic reaction.
- This medication should not be used by women with uncontrolled thyroid problems, abnormal bleeding with an unknown cause, ovarian cysts, enlarged ovaries or women who are pregnant.
