How to Remove the Radiator From a 94 Ford Ranger

    • 1). Allow the engine to cool prior to working on the car. Open the radiator cap. Then set the drain pan underneath the radiator. Reach up and open the petcock at the base of the radiator using your hands. Allow the coolant to pour into the drain pan.

    • 2). Unbolt the fan shroud from the core support using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Pull the fan shroud up and away from the engine. Then remove the hose clamps on the upper and lower radiator hoses using the flat head screwdriver. Pull the hoses off of the radiator, then point them toward the drain pan and allow the coolant to pour out of the lines.

    • 3). Unbolt the radiator brackets on the face of the radiator using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Tilt the radiator towards the engine, then lift it up and out of the engine compartment.
