- 1). Apply a thin layer of brown to all exposed layers of skin. If you have a brown skin tone this step is still important as it will cover the natural shininess of your skin, preventing light from reflecting off of you. This thin layer should be applied to all areas, including eye lids, ears, the back of the neck, and the hairline. Put some paint in your hands and rub together to make application easier.
- 2). Apply some green paint with one finger to break up your silhouette. Draw on thin lines of green in vertical, horizontal, or diagonal patters in order to break up the shape of your face. Do not concentrate any paint around your mouth, nose or eyes, as these are the distinguishing elements that make the face recognizable.
- 3). Apply small amounts of brown and black over the base you have now. Use these colors - especially black - sparingly as you want to blend in with your background, not become darker than it.
- 4). Collect a few leaves, branches or grasses from the area you wish to blend in to, and use these to help camouflage your body, clothes and gear.
