- All projects begin with some preparation time. This is no exception. You will want to clean the rest of your car before you clean the windows. Otherwise, you will end up spreading the dirt from your car onto the windows that you just cleaned. Then you will need to get out a few items. Set out an empty spray bottle, two cups of filtered water, half a cup of cider vinegar, a quarter of a cup of rubbing alcohol, a lint free cotton cloth and a microfiber cloth for buffing. Put on some cleaning clothes and you are set to go.
- Place the water, vinegar and alcohol into the empty spray bottle. Stir it with a straw and then replace the nozzle. You are going to want to start with the windshield and work your way around the car. Spray your homemade cleaner on your cotton cloth until it is soaked. Start wiping in a square. First, go around the edges and then work your way toward the center of the window. You may need to stop after each square that you make and add another squirt of solution to the cotton cloth. Once you have successfully removed all of the dirt, you can move on to buffing.
- Buffing your car windows will give them a brand-new-car look. This is not necessary since your windows are already clean, but it is the best thing you can do to ensure that your windows are perfect for viewing the road. Just take your microfiber cloth and rub the windows immediately after they have been cleaned. Rub the microfiber cloth in a circular motion. Spend about two or three minutes on each window and you will be amazed at how beautiful they look.
