Internet Explorer 7 and 8

• 1). Close your Internet Explorer browser.
  
  
• 2). Hit the "Start" button in the bottom left corner of your desktop.
  
  
• 3). Scroll up and hit "Run." Type "regedit" and click the "OK" or "Open" button.
  
  
• 4). Using the folder list on the left side, drill down to this string of folders: My Computer\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\TypedURLs.
  
  
• 5). Highlight all of the files in the main window. Their name will include "url." Right click on them once they are highlighted. Scroll down and click "Delete."
  
  
• 6). Close all windows.
  
  

Firefox

• 1). Open your Firefox browser.
  
  
• 2). Hit "Tools" in the main menu bar.
  
  
• 3). Scroll down and click "Clear Recent History."
  
  
• 4). Put a check mark next to "Browsing & Download History" and "Form & Search History."
  
  
• 5). Hit the "Clear Now" button.
