- 1). Replace the injectors' bottom spacer and top and bottom O-rings with new ones. You can easily pull off the spacer by hand. If necessary, use a pick tool to remove the O-rings.
- 2). Apply a light coat of new engine oil to each O-ring.
- 3). Install the injectors on the fuel rail by carefully pushing each injector in the fuel rail seats by hand.
- 4). Secure the injectors to the fuel rail with the retaining clips. Slide the clip into position on the upper part of the injector. The clip tab should point to the fuel rail. Make sure the clip tab grabs onto the fuel rail.
- 5). Install the fuel rail on the manifold so that each of the injectors seats properly on its corresponding intake port.
- 6). Tighten the fuel-rail mounting bolts using a ratchet, ratchet extension and socket.
- 7). Plug in the injectors' electrical connectors.
- 8). Install the fuel rail mounting bolts using the ratchet, ratchet extension and socket.
- 9). Reattach the ground battery cable to the battery using a wrench, if you disconnected it to remove the fuel rail.

Replace any other components you removed to service the fuel rail.
