- 1). Close any programs you are using, including Outlook Express.
- 2). Click the Start button and type "regedit" in the search dialog box at the bottom of the menu. Click on the regedit option when it is displayed and wait for the Registry Editor window to open.
- 3). Click "Edit" on the toolbar and select "Find." Enter "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\IdentityFolder\Software\Microsoft\OutlookExpress\5.0\signatures" in the dialog box and click "Find Next."
- 4). Right-click on the key when it is displayed and select "Export." The signature will now be exported to your desktop so that you can use it as a backup.
