- 1). *Remove and Undercoat
The first thing you want to do is to thoroughly remove all existing toe nail polish using remover and cotton balls. Trim and file your toenails down to size, and separate your toes to prepare them for polish. First, add an undercoat. Allow undercoat to dry for about 15 minutes before polishing. (An undercoat or primer works well because it helps smooth out rough areas and helps polish adhere better to the nails.) - 2). *Paint the nails
Starting in the center of the nail, paint a wide strip of polish down the middle of your toe. Over lap working center to left and then center to right. Completely cover your toes. - 3). *Topcoat, dry and shower
Allow polish to dry for 10 minutes before adding a quick dry topcoat. Let topcoat dry for 5 minutes and then get in the shower. Any stray polish on the edges of your toes will be washed right down the drain! It's a neat trick that allows you to have perfectly polished toes.
