How to Enable a Remote Desktop on Windows 2000

    • 1). Log on to Windows Server 2000 as an administrator and click the "Start" button from your desktop. Move your cursor over the "Settings" option and click the "Control Panel" option.

    • 2). Double-click on the "Add/Remove Programs" option. Click the "Add/Remove Windows Components" option and the Windows Components Wizard will open.

    • 3). Click on the box next to the "Terminal Services" field so that it's selected and then click the "Next" button.

    • 4). Click the "Remote Administration mode" option from the "Terminal Services Setup" page, then click "Next."

    • 5). Allow time for the installation to complete, then click on "Finish." Click the "Close" button to exit the dialog box.
