Dennis Erickson was born on March 24, 1947 and has been involved with the game of football for decades.
The most recent development in the football centric career of Erickson is that he is the head football coach for the Arizona State University (ASU) Sun Devils which are located in the Tempe region of Phoenix, Arizona.
Before settling in with the Arizona State job in 2007 Coach Erickson spent time working at a number of different college football programs as he perfected his craft.

After excelling as a quarterback in a town 25 miles north of Seattle Dennis enrolled at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where he played quarterback for the Fighting Bobcats from 1966-1968.

In 1970 Dennis spent a year as the head football coach at a high school in Billings, Montana before being hired as a full time assistant coach at Montana State for the 1971-1973 seasons.

In Erickson the Sun Devils got a seasons coach with six years of experience as a head coach in the NFL and two college football national championships to his credit from when he coached the University of Miami in 1989 and 1991.
In his first three seasons as the head coach at Arizona State Dennis has failed to impressive fans that were hoping that he would make their team at least relevant in the Pac-10 Conference that has long been dominated by the University of Southern California.
In three seasons Coach Erickson has a cumulative record at ASU of 19 wins and 18 losses.
The only post-season bowl appearance in his brief three year tenure occurred his first year in 2007 when his squad lost in the Holiday Bowl to the University of Texas.
