For the love of the ocean? That's why people sail, the love the ocean. The smell of salt water in their nostrils and nothing but the ocean as far as they can see. Some feel the sensation of the ocean below their feet for a few hours, others for a weekend and the very blessed for a month. Some are even fortunate enough to live on the sea in houseboats. We see an example of this in some movies, where there are two story houseboats, where the love of the seas is never left. But, what if you're someone that wants to travel from port to port? What if that's how you travel, as opposed to by car, what do you do then?
There are places like Atlantic Cruising Club, where the love of the sea, meets the need of the land. Consider the following things that you can acquire when you become a member with Atlantic Cruising Club, where they understand that the love of the ocean is just the beginning. Clearly knowing the ports and what's in them and surrounding them is priceless. That's why they need to be researched from independent researchers, completely and thoroughly. If the marinas aren't then you don't know what you're going to pull into. You need to have the option of getting this information in either electronic form, print form, in CD/DVD-ROMS, in bound books, ebooks and downloads and on this website.
You need and deserve a resource that will not just visit the marina once, but repeatedly. Why, because once is never enough. We've all been to restaurants that we've eaten at once, and the food was wonderful, but then on a second trip the food was horrible. The same is true for marinas once is never enough, and you have to make sure that they stay up on their quality. And, if you're visual like me, you need to have photographs to see what the marinas and surrounding area's look like.
You need to be aware of marinas that will allow for visiting boats that have a wide range of LOAs from 25 all the way to 300 feet. Why? Because what good is it going to do you if you 'pull up' and you're not welcomed there. And you need to have marinas on Canadian and U.S. Coasts.
Wow, that's a lot to expect from one company, but for Atlantic Cruising Club, those this are their foundation, not the their completed work. Another way of saying it is this: What you've read is the beginning of the importance that they place on your needs as a captain and serving you. Now imagine what it'd be like to be a member?
