Wherever I surf on the internet, it seems I always come across some guide, article, product or other promoting weight loss and getting the perfect 'ripped' body.
I can't help but think that this is all quite unnecessary.
It is safe to say that many if not most of these men who are so preoccupied with their bodies are attempting to look more attractive to the opposite sex.
That would be reasonable - if women actually cared about guys having ripped bodies in the first place.
This may come as a shock to many, but women don't even select based on physical features, they actually select upon social status.
Women and attraction work in a funny way, and as such, the most high status man rather than the most ripped man will be the object of a woman's desires.
Let physical attractiveness be the focus of women, with all their beauty products, entire stores focused on enhancing their physical beauty, and hence their attractiveness to men, e.
g.
cosmetic stores, botox and plastic surgeons.
A man who pays an equal amount of attention to his own physical appearance may be seen as being too effeminate and hence unattractive, or simply insecure.
Now, that's not to say that you shouldn't take care of yourself at all.
If you are extremely overweight, then you should diet and exercise with a passion, but that is only because your weight might say a lot about you, for example, lack of control or lack of confidence in the way you carry yourself.
Men who have brilliant bodies tend to take pride in their physiques and walk in a very pronounced, alpha manner.
It is this air of confidence and security to which the women are attracted, not the actual muscles themselves! Can you believe that? Most weight loss guides and muscle supplements are simply gimmicks that intend to separate you from your hard earned cash.
There is no substitute for hard work where weight loss or bodybuilding is concerned.
Both can be separated into two parts: diet, exercise.
Most offers on the internet target the inherent human desire to get something for nothing, however, it doesn't work like that.
But, there is good news! If you are not particularly fat, then you don't really have to do much with your body.
Just dress sensibly, keep clean and the rest is within your personality - how you carry yourself and how you talk.
