Proposal Ideas for a Young Couple

    • You have decided you are ready to take the marital plunge. You are young and in love, ready to share your life with the woman of your dreams. In the spirit of youth, you want to pop the question in a way that reflects your young heart. You need unique proposal ideas that the two of you will always remember. Your fun, romantic idea will surely give you the answer you want to hear, "Yes!"

    Ferris Wheel

    • If the fair is in town or you area has a permanent amusement park you could propose on the Ferris wheel. Before you board the wheel, talk to the operator and ask him for a few extra minutes on top. You may need to tip him as a courtesy. When you reach the top and the Ferris wheel operator stops the ride, bring out the ring and pop the question. Ask the ride operator to snap a picture of the two of you as you leave the ride.

    Skating Rink

    • On a busy night at a skating rink, propose to your sweetheart on the skate rink floor. Talk to the disc jockey or skate rink manager ahead of the date you have planned to make your proposal. Request a song to be played that has special meaning to you both. You might also ask for some special lighting to shine on the two of you during your moment. Ask the management to clear the floor so the two of you can have the rink all to yourself for this special time.

    Ballgame

    • For the couple that loves to watch ballgames, a ballfield is the perfect backdrop for a romantic proposal. Talk to the park manager and ask to use the microphone or the display board to surprise her with the question. If you have a good relationship with the management of the park, you may be able to garner some field time. Ask the cheerleaders to unroll a special banner that says, "Sweetheart, Will You Marry Me?"

    Beach Stroll

    • The beach is a popular place for young couples. Take a sunset stroll on a nice evening and propose in the sand on one knee. You might surprise her with a picnic lunch or a bottle of wine and a blanket for snuggling. You could get really creative and bury the ring in a box in the sand. Take a shovel and your sweetheart with you to find some 'buried treasure'. She will be surprised when she opens it. Do not bury your treasure too deep or near the ocean. Mark your treasure well so you can find it easily.
