It's such a lovely thing to have many television stations and the choices they offer today.
Quite handsome years ago, probably 80, we had only three television stations.
Considering the lack of technological diversity and variety.
The only stations available were ABC, NBC and CBS.
Those days there were no plasma or HD, its amazing how there were few television stations with no remote, no buttons or dial number.
Instead there was a dial that we spun like a desired safe dial, waiting for just the right click/turn to adjust us into a clear or less rainy picture to watch.
Expectantly the switched on television had a big black line about a third of the width of the screen that went down the centre of the picture like a stifles marker would.
The poor picture quality of the then was actually enough to force a weakening of eye sight and a follow up voyage to the optometrist for glasses we did not need, or medication we would have done without.
What a loss! I thank God and all the contributors for making the television world a much better place.
Having all the reality show programs, documentaries, soap operas, series, and of course, hundreds of sports stations and channels.
Who can get bored? The previous ones are still very much around with more news than anything else, but at least there are options today.
Where did the love for TV come from? It's the series and reality shows that did the trick! It has nothing to do with those days, current times are wonderful, even with the shortage of time, and I still make some for my favorites! Thanks to technological advancement.
Television stations give an alternative to a would be very boring life especially with all the long working hours, less sleep and ultimately minimal entertainment
