On the Starz dark comedy Gravity, Ivan Sergei plays Robert Collingsworth, an ophthalmologist so despondent after the death of his wife that he tried to kill himself by driving his car off a cliff, only to land on a cruise ship and end up a subject of Internet mockery. Robert is so hung up on his late wife that he's ashamed of the feelings he has for Lily Champagne, a fellow suicide survivor he meets in his support group.

Robert is drawn strongly to Lily, and forms a romantic attachment to her despite his feelings of guilt.
