- 1). Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on your GPS unit. This is generally on the side or bottom of the GPS unit.
- 2). Select the tab on your GPS main menu that generally allows access to files you save. Depending on the manufacturer and model of your GPS, this tab may be called "Tools," "Favorites," "My Locations," "My Devices" or something else.
- 3). Click on the SD card file and open it. You can now choose the file you wish to view (or listen to) from the individual files stored on your SD card.
- 1). Connect the smaller end of your GPS data cable to the connector on the back, side or bottom of your GPS. Plug the other end of the cable into a USB port on your computer.
- 2). Select "My Computer" icons from your Windows PC screen. If you are a Macintosh user, the SD card appears as a mounted volume on your desktop.
- 3). Double-click on the SD card drive listed as a removable drive under the "My Computer" list to open the file. Alternatively, double-click the SD card volume on your Macintosh. You now have access to your GPS SD card, and can add, edit and delete files.
