Everywhere you look you can find different acne solutions.
Some may come in the form of prescription, some come over the counter and then there are the herbal remedies.
The problem is that most of them just don't work as well as advertised.
The problem is that everyone is different so know medication will actually work the same on everyone.
There is however some medically proven medications that works well for almost everyone.
1.
Prescription acme treatments.
Accutane is probably the best prescription medication on the market for acne.
I have heard accutane referred to as the miracle drug for acne.
The drug accutane can have some serious side effects that are actually worse than the acne but is one treatment that works for 98 percent of the people with severe acne.
There are some topical treatments like Retin A or Renova.
They are good for wrinkles and fine lines but they have also been proved productive on curing mild acne.
The final prescription drug is birth control pills used exclusively for women.
They help to regulate the hormones related to acne that many women experience.
2.
Over the counter treatments.
There are a couple over the counter medications that help with acne treatments.
One is Benzoyl peroxide.
This works by penetrating the skin pores.
By doing this it helps to eliminate the bacteria that cause acne.
This is also the most commonly used because it is affordable and easy to find.
One other thing is that it works almost as well as prescription drugs.
The last one is Salicylic acid which works by removing top layers of dead skin.
This allows the pores to open up which decreases the chance of an acne break out.
3.
Herbal acne treatments.
There are many herbal acne treatments out there but unfortunately most of them don't work.
Currently I only know of two herbal medications that help with acne treatments.
Tea tree oil is one of the herbal remedies and green tea cream is another one.
This article has listed several different options in helping you with your acne needs.
Acne can be one of the most painful and hardest diseases to beat.
However if you try any one of these medications you do have a good chance of beating the disease.
