There are many reasons cited as to why you should help other people.
Not many advise you to do it as an act of selfishness, but we do.
It is wisely, skilfully and divinely selfish to awaken people to their exceptional potential.
For a start, the greatest help you can offer a friend, a community, a nation or a planet is to express the original truth that burns uniquely at your centre.
Until you are self-centred enough to know what you stand for and courageous enough to stand up for it, everything you offer will be middling shades of bland and mediocre flavours of lukewarm.
Once you start following your bliss and moulding the clay of your being with eccentric passion, you start offering guidance to all those around you.
Your mere presence as a happy, focused, centred being is a source of encouragement.
But many people attracted to your enlightened expression will bring along their baggage and be quite eager to leave it in your locker.
Thousands of sunsets could be wasted swilling around with them in pointless pools of argument and stodgy puddles of unfairness and deep swamps of hopelessness.
And each wasted sunset delays the fulfillment of your dance and their dance.
If you want to help, don't jump in the swamp and wallow, but give them a hand up by resolutely recognising their divinity.
Everyone knows of, and yearns for, that feeling of deep belonging that remembering your god-hood brings.
And the moment you find the access shaft to the mine of someone's passion, you are digging divine diamonds in seconds.
As soon as eyes light up with enthusiasm and voices rise with eagerness, the spirit starts to expand and the air is tinged with champagne.
It is like the aroma of freshly-cooked bread to the hunger of the soul.
There is a god hiding in everyone.
If you don't want to lose your life in tedious mediocrity, find the hidden gods and celebrate them.
The clearer you link up the circuit, god-centre to god-centre, the stronger the flow of electrical divinity will be.
All conversations to do with the fulfillment of desire, the appreciation of life and the ecstasy of love come from the god-centre.
All conversations relating to the stupidity of governments, the unreliability of markets and the unreasonableness of workloads dampen the flow.
Time spent talking about birds in sick cages, when you have free eagles soaring through your imagination, is time spent dragging you both down.
The sick bird will scare you with pictures of entrapment and suffering mortality.
The eagle will lift you out of the stodginess and show you expanded horizons.
Both are relaying a version of truth and you have the choice which one you focus on.
Although it is necessary sometimes to define a problem before solving it, this should never be confused with telling the old, old story of victim-hood and struggle.
A solution has a lightness and a sense of creative responsibility about it.
It doesn't have the stultifying pallor of fear or the debilitating urge to repeat the overwhelming odds stacked against it.
Some people are perpetual 'Ancient Mariners' who just must tell the 'reality' of the monumental unfairness of it all.
You thrill at a fritillary butterfly and they talk about the poisonous pesticides; you rejoice in the hot summer and they counter with global warming theories; you sing the praises of the sunset and their head is filled with the air-borne pollutants that deepen the colour.
If you offer them fresh new tales of the majesty of their divinity and they insist on rejecting it for the melancholy comfort of their suffering, do not join them there out of a sense of misguided compassion.
Keep always in the radiant certainty of your centre and if the other dancer refuses to acknowledge their exceptional potential and insists on dancing small with a bubble-wrapped god inside them, then bless them and let them go.
Planet earth is not best-used as a battlefield for proving how tenaciously buoyant you can be despite all the small-minded negativity fired at you.
It is better as a playground where you can dance with lively, excited, confident minds that share your belief in the exceptional potential of all humans.
Together you can create extraordinary landscapes of love.
Be divinely selfish, for this seeming paradox is true.
In serving your own deepest interest, you will best enable the other dancer to see the potential of their own mighty truth.
You help them, not by joining them in their imagined suffering but by demonstrating a different way of looking at the situation based on their god strength.
The more you surround yourself with people who want to be the best they can, the faster you will unleash the full reach of your staggering potential.
