Telling Good News Lifts Moods

We all have days when sadness prevails.
Learn one way to lift your mood from sad to neutral and to happy.
I have a doctor who greets his patients with "Tell me some good news.
" Recently, I had a day of "the blues.
" I was worried about someone and sad about something else.
So I decided to declare at least one piece of good news for the day to someone else.
Earlier that day, I took my overweight cat, Blossom, to the vet to be weighed in.
She had lost a pound! This was my piece of good news for the day.
Somehow, when I told this story to my cousin, my mood lifted.
According to Jerry and Esther Hicks, when one's mood is seriously down, it can be impossible to expect a miracle to happen in a short period of time.
Following are a few suggestions regarding lifting mood incrementally.
1.
Begin with a piece of normal, seemingly inconsequential event.
Blossom's loss of one pound in an example.
2.
Escalate this to someone a bit more exciting.
Perhaps the stock market finally went back up or a much needed check arrived.
Concentrate on this and amazingly one can attract more and more good into your life.
3.
Do some volunteer work.
Helping others is a great mood enhancer.
4.
Have a daily prayer time.
Connection with that higher power is so important! 5.
Expect more good and more good will happen.
6.
Do everything you can to relieve the depression.
Be proactive and keep searching for answers.
Readers, please feel free to share a piece of good news which served to lighten your mood.
